I have a birthday ending in a zero later this year and would like to celebrate this with a few of days riding abroad, probably in September/October/November but fairly flexible with dates.

Don't much mind where we go but the key criteria are, in no particular order...

Not too expensive
Under 3 hours flying time
Some guided/easily navigated XC riding,
Decent value accommodation,
Somewhere to eat & drink,
Not too cold
Bike rental would be a bonus as we'd probably prefer to hire bikes out there rather than have to transport our own.

There's likely to be 3 or 4 of us (all of a similar age & ability) and we're ideally after a couple of days riding, a day of beach/other activities/more riding.

Doesn't have to be a package, I'd be happy to book the flights/accommodation/biking separately.

So far I've looked a Majorca, Italy and a bit of Southern Spain.

I'm sure there must be a few folks on here who've done similar trips, what would you recommend?

Done with Alan at Sierra Cycling down the end of the Costa strip twice in the past. May depend on how many guests he has? http://www.sierracycling.com/
My group ate heading out to Bubion with Switchbacks, small village 2hrs into the mountains so no beach unless you do the Valletta to beach ride... After a days biking all we want to do is drink, eat and then more drink and a good chinwag. Switchbacks in Nov is an option, but no beach

These are probably your cheapest options unless you try Torbole, Lake Garda https://www.bikeshuttletorbole.com/ However going by the videos and photos the riding could be a bit tougher

Little bit further but lavatrax on Tenerife is highly rated. Met the owner at ardrock through a mutual friend who has ridden a few times with them. He rates it highly and they've used some of his non Gatwick drone footage.
