I need to purchase a waterproof jacket thats  longer in the body, primarily for dog walking duties and the likes of.

It looks like the Berghaus Long Cornice jacket ticks all the boxes except for the colour, I'm really not a fan of green! A shame as they seem to do the 'standard' lengh in a variety of different colours.

Are there any alternatives out there? Not fussed about gor-tex. Really struggling to find anything similar...

Goretex hi viz jacket.
Mines bright orange and only comes out on really wet days.

Longer coat style not a bomber style.

Coats I’ve had that tick the. Boxes for typically British weather:

Paramo Alta 3 (or 2 if you can find one) are superb.

Rab Bergen is long too with a proper flap over the zip

Rohan used to do one I think was called the Hill Walker - geography teachers go to. Their current Kendal coat is about the longest ive seen.

My current favourite though is my Buffalo Active shirt - a good couple of inches longer than the mountain shirt with slightly softer shell fabric. Warm though. If you wanted less warm they also do the active shirt light, which has a micro fleece inner instead of their fluffy fleece. Despite it not being a Goretex  or similar shell it kept me perfectly warm & dry for 15 miles last weekend in driving rain.

My son was born last December. In the run up to his birth I bought a, frankly comically large, ExMOD non issued RAF Goretex jacket in a size that could encompass both myself and my son in a baby carrier. MOD sizing varies by both length and diameter.

I bought this because it was waterproof and would shelter my newborn baby warm in the depths of a Scottish Winter. What I found is it's a brilliant jacket. Good hood, Deep pockets and the length is long at just above the knee. For £50 it's bloody bargain. Other than two highvis stripes on the shoulders it's a fairly inconspicuous jacket in a deep blue

I've got one of of those RAF jackets. It's Brill, especially for the price. No hood on mine, but there are probably slightly different designs.
