Annoyingly the family holiday house has been double booked and we have lost out! For reasons I won't go into we need a house rather than camp for the last week of August somewhere not far from the sea. Still some on the lets/rental sites. Of course it's expensive in the summer hols so even the late bookings will be pricey but you might get to save 10-15 % so 800 quid for a week in SW.
Not knowing much about the family holiday house or your likes/dislikes means it's hard to make a recommendation.
Its in Pembrokeshire, bit wild. I'm open to anything atm!

If it was me I'd sit on the fence and wait for a one-week forecast. North, South, East, West... I live in Yorkshire so that's an easy game to play. Though you might end up with a week in a Premier Inn by a dual carriageway.
Thanks all, the retreat looks lovely. School beckons at that time...We might have a house sit in Pembs but not sure. Been trawling the sites and theres still stuff about. Keep them coming though!
