We used to save up Danny Baker shows.
Have enjoyed Off Menu . What else should we try?
Not Richard Herring ,Not Richard Herring ,Not Richard Herring
Assuming just comedy.
BBC Friday night comedy podcast.
Infinite monkey cage.
If you like comedy, and comedians taking about comedy, try Rule of Three
We listened to a couple of books on the way to the vosge this year. I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. They were crime books quite fun really.
Adam Buxton
It’s from an older backwater of podcasts but ‘robin and josie’s Utter shambles’ gave comedy guests the same long unstructured interview opportunity that RHLSP does.... but without Richard Herring
The Dollop
Joe Rogan. Pick a topic, and he’s got a guest discussing it.
The klf million quid story is very good. Escape this podcast is fun and a bit more engaging. Beef and Dairy Network if you like your comedy off the wall.
The Anthropocene Reviewed
Odd, but good.
Athletico Mince
Watts Occurin'
Adam Buxton
Life in the Stocks (especially the Matthew Pritchard ones)
BBC Radio 4, book at bedtime, etc.
It's pretty good if you like listening to stories about people who made an even worse mess of their life than you.
Joe Rogan with nearly 3 hours of Henry Rollins.
Sorted!
No such thing as a fish - QI elves & researchers talking about their favourite facts. Excellent.
Also, 99% Invisible. It’s a podcast about design and architecture, mostly. No really - but give it a try, it’s fascinating, and really strong production values.

Its on about 5 series now and there is not an episode that isn't very very funny.
Even tho I've no interest in sport I enjoyed Flintoff, Savage and the ping pong guy. Good contrast between intellectual, comedian and bundling idiot.
Just spent 3 weeks driving around Europe, we had...
-My Dad Wrote A Porno
-Athletico Mince
-Behind the Bastards
-Adam Buxton
-Philosophise This
All very good in their own way
I really enjoyed S-Town. It's about 10, hour long episodes I think. Very thought provoking.
I came here to plug 99% Invisible, but I see that's already been done. Quirky, thoughtful subjects and a nice relaxed presentation.
Blood on the Tracks
Beyond Today
FOOC
Kermode and Mayo
That Peter Crouch Podcast
Serial
Desert Island Discs
Should keep you going.
Escape This Podcast is my current favourite, self-described as a cross between escape rooms and tabletop role-playing games.
If you like words, The Allusionist is very good.
If stuff like The Last Leg / Last Week Tonight is your thing, The Bugle is great. (John Oliver of LWT used to co-present it before he was big in America.)
If you're not just after comedy try some of these which I don't think anyone's mentioned (mind you there could be a good reason for that...)
13 Minutes to the Moon - 1202 alarm!
50 Things That Made The Modern Economy - in bite sized pieces
Distraction Pieces - there's loads, pick a guest you like
Farm to Taber - try the "Backed Up Like An Alabama Shit Train" episode
Films to be Buried With - loads, pick one with a guest you like
Inside the Comedian - as above
Lineker and Baker - if you like Danny Baker...
Mystery Show - only 7 of them but they're all good
Science VS - if you can take Wendy Z's voice, I don't mind it
Sh**ged Married Annoyed - Marmitey but I thought it surprisingly entertaining
The Drop Out - Some amazingly credulous people fall for the Theranos tech
The Guardian Audio Long Reads - looks at a single issue for 25-40 mins or so
The Inquiry - BBC World Service version of the above
The Last Days of August - Jon Ronson's death of a starlet series (NSFChildren)
We Have Ways Of Making You Talk - WW2 with James Holland and Al Murray
God, that Joe Rogan is a bore. Why on earth would you have Eddie izzard on then talk to him about martial arts? Shut up, let your guest speak.
