I’ve sold a jacket on gumtree, his address on gumtree messenger is Clapham and on PayPal it’s Brixton. Either way it’s going to his PayPal address.

Can you check buyer history on gumtree, seems like a nice chap on chat.

Thanks

I "think" my location on Gumtree is incorrect (though close-ish) and I can't change it from memory.

No , clapham is a god awful hell hole full of bootcut jeans, brown loafers and Australians,

Brixton has a semblance of cool about it and is a far more enjoyable place to be.

Londoner innit, loaded so has multiple addresses! Or has moved and not updated the address in one platform or another.

This brings back memory’s of long hard house nights under the church in Brixton, followed by a sweat fest of The Fridge.

'Guns of Clapham' just doesn't have the same ring about it

A Louise I once knew lived in Brixton.  That may explain a great deal.

They are close enough that depending on his address the automatic postcode things might get confused.

For instance I now apparently live in Epsom, except it's 3 miles down the road

I was more of a 'Living' person myself, then join the massive queue in MacDonalds before trying to get a night bus home

Samsara at the Fridge then the Fridge Bar til lunchtime.

Clapham didn't have any proper clubs AFAIK, just a Ritzy kinda place and a restaurant that opened late and turned into a pulling joint - but was quite good fun.

My location on Gumtree is Exeter, whereas in reality I live nearer Newton Abbot, in a different borough, but Exeter is the closest Gumtree will offer.
Seems if you're in a small village it just defaults to the nearest large town.

They’re pretty close. You can walk from Clapham to Brixton in 20 mins. Acre Lane-ish area.

I think we started there - we use to go to an Indian restaurant on the North side of the common then walk across, down the high st. to that place and have a few beers before hailing an illegal cab to the Bug Bar in Brixton.

Christ, thoughts of those days where as much vodka and red bull as you could stomach before dancing whilst off your tits off to a hard beat Chemical Brothers mix are making my stomach churn just thinking about it...

In fact, thats the last time I visited South of the river until I took the Mrs to Ting last June, and that was south enough for me 😀

You'd never get a joint like the Effra in Clapham. But yes, they're close enough that some addresses could be said to be in one and the other.

I was at Brixton Academy on the night of the riots, watching Therapy?. We left the gig to be met with a blockade to the station that was alight by that point in the night. It's something I'll never forget.

Wrong side of the moat.

How sweet, CFH thinks he's in the castle looking out 🙂

The great unwashed North starts at the Thames, we built the moat to keep it out!
