I may hire a Boris Bike tomorrow - how best to get from Gloucester Rd to London bridge as peacefully, sedately and sweat-free as possible?

Is there a cyclepath along the south side of the river from Westminster bridge as it looks on Google Maps?

Transport for London cycle planner - add start and end post codes - then look for quiet route.

yeah, there's a road round the back of the National Theatre that is pretty quiet, probably just the odd taxi then once you're past Blackfriars you're on the shared used path playing pinball with the tourists.

Chelsea embankment then crossed the river at Vauxhall bridge.

Boris bikes are bloody hard work to get moving and to stop
It is not possible to avoid being sweaty
I now understand why people wobble so much riding them
I do not like being passed, especially by MAMILs
London is incredibly beautiful at times

Up to the Parks, along to Hyde Park Corner.

Past the Palace, then down Birdcage Walk to Westminster Bridge.
Over bridge, take the first left, behind County Hall. Bimble along there until you reach London Bridge.

Simple.
