Anyone got any recommendations for somewhere to stay in London? (short notice - it'll be for this Thursday). Looking for somewhere near to either Regents Park / Euston Station / Portland Place (near Oxford Circus)
- I'm down for work so basic and functional rather than romantic!
- reasonable price
- Quiet area / hotel
- Windows that open (I really can't stand air conditioning!)

take what you can get at the moment. tried to book a room for last night - all booked up. Had to take the train home and come back in again this morning. Second time in two weeks. London is rammed for some reason.
Personally I'm a fan of the Hilton Metropole (as I can get frinds and family rates usually and it's a lovely hotel) and also Mint hotels - the one in Westminster is close enough to be cenrtal but also in a area quiet enough to get some sleep.
Mint Westminster does get some good press, and is well located. Also happens to be within crawling distance of the best beer pub in the world..... 😉
