Wow, that was an impressive display, and happy new year!
Very impressive...happy new year to all.
When it started as the chimes were going I started saying to the mrs that it was a bit pants then it went off! Absolutely awesome weren't they. A massive step from last year... W2013 will have to step up again
Looked good on the telly. I assume they're setting the bar for the olympics opener hence next new year will be toss when the budgets been spanked...
Happy new year!! Fireworks were awesome to watch!!
Saw them from the spare room. Best I've seen in years
I'm all for a celebration but that was 10's thousands of pounds worth of fireworks, how about paying the nurses a bit more this year and forgoing the fireworks instead!!
Spied them from the top of the house!
Mate of mine has been to see them, missed the last train back, and is apparently now stuck at St. Pancras... 🙄
The fireworks looked great, but I tell you what, the soundtrack was better.
British music is by far the best on the planet and it has been for decades! It looks like someone in London just realised....
They have got the cheek to bank on about emissions from cars.
Civil servants done good

Particuarly hated the "urban" bits..wtf was that about. 😆
I don't think fireworks need music. I just like to hear the bangs and go ooh aah.
Meh, seen one firework seen them all.
Woosh, bang, meh.
Can't have been that good, I didn't hear a thing.
Awesome, loved the music mash up. Who did it?
Missed them but just found some footage on the beeb, look well impressive but dear god that music is awful.

WOW !!!
well done London ... ( and I don't say that often )
2012 ...
The year GB shows the world we can still do it right starts with a bang
Okay its nice to party and times are tough so a bit of good cheer can work wonders, but I read Manchester cancelled its fireworks as it couldn't find a sponsor and the council wouldn't pay for it...that seems the right attitude to me. If my London council taxes were used to fund the fireworks I'd much rather the money went on schools, hospitals, libraries or roads next year.

I think that little lot was much closer to a few hundred thou - a small village display for 12 mins, 2 people operating and one location is £1500.
Go to holland if you want to see fire works. (See teenage terrorist and quiet on the forum threads) hours of spectacular aerial bombardment all done in the streets and paid for by middle aged schoolboys. Absolutely wonderful.
