I gather there are a few on here with these things to keep their toes warm . I used to have a wee firestarter thing made in England somewhere and of course they don't supply replacement parts if it's over 5 year old
I ripped it out as I bought a 2nd hand Morso 5660 insert , looks like either a telly or a microwave but boy what a heat and the logs last for ages unlike the revving little firestarter
Not too tricky to fit other than the 6" lion sleeps tonight flue liner ie a " tight fit" at the off set of the brick flue
Can't wait for some real cold weather now although still to put the shelf up in the flue and drop the pumice to insulate the between the liner and the brick flue and cap it off
Where do the stove fitters get their top lawyer fees for fitting these things? No alterations or holes to cut or reinstate for them as I opened the wall up like it was a heart surgeon replacing a heart yet quotes of £1k to 1.2 + the cost of a liner and anything thing else
