Seeking a bit of advice from the stw log burning community.
Building my first log store or of an old shed, it's going to be open on the front with logs stacked on the 3 sides inside. My question is should I drill ventilation holes in the sides and back, or will the open front be enough on its own?
Here is how it stands at present

Id say you'd be fine as it is, the draft will get in, around and out again. But there's no reason not to pepper the back with some holes too or even remove a couple of clapper boards.
You could always remove every other slat from the base and place it on a couple of pallets to get some ventilation underneath?
I find as long as your wood pile is off the ground and is covered up top it does not need much protection around the sides
Stack alternately (length ways then width ways) with few sticks that run full length now and then to keep it stable and the wood will dry fine in there.
Get some ventilation and air circulation in the base an old pallet for the logs to stand on would be ideal.
