Finally succumbed. I need a haircut every 2 weeks normally as my hair grows like wildfire. It was getting very shaggy so attacked it with the clippers tonight. The missus actually likes it!

No offence mate but you look like a serial killer.

Can we have a pic of your missus holding up the front page of today's paper please?

Barber's shops are still open down here in Aus' but don't really get why and not worth the risk in my opinion way too much helmet head and I'm normally a simple buzz cut anyway....

weapon (not of choice):

outcome self inflicted:

This forum is awful for posting pictures in, no idea why it's rotated through 90° either, the original isn't.

I'm so close to getting one done.

The original will be totated. The rotation is built into the metadata. Windows can read that metadata and rotates it automatically.

You need to open the pic in paint then save it and close it. That will fix it.

Due to balding i'm already a number 1 or 2 allover.

Top tip though... Extend the pleasure of a face mask by just doing your whole head.

Aye done it last week, guard aff proper to the wood, feels great. I do look like I've just done a 20 stretch in barlinnie mind you. 😆

Ideal timing - I was about to start a thread asking for recommendations for a decent hair shaver! Any suggestions?
Lacking imagination I just get a number 1 all over so it just needs to be something presumably doesn't take lumps out of my head? Are they all of a muchness and it is just down to technique?
Thanks!

Long as they blades are new should be fine, I just used a cheap 30 quid wahl trimmer, cut through my very thick hair like butter.

😆

If you're going to do it, might as well do it right! Guard aff, zero all over!

You might not get a lot of choice. Hair clippers seem to be in short supply right now.

Welcome to the baldy club, you lot. You’re about to find out how liberating it is to have your weekly hair care routine take ten minutes rorming some clippers over your head before you jump in the shower. No guards, obviously. Down to the bone!

These are the best clippers by a mile. Babylis Super Crew. Designed to cut your own hair, rather than for someone to do it for you.

They’ve inexplicably stopped making them and places that still have them in stock are now knocking them out on eBay for 200 quid a pop!! 😳

If you can still find any at a reasonable price, buy them!

Thanks for advice all! If I manage to get a set and figure out how to post pics I'll show you the results...
And then send a link to my hairdresser - she's an old friend who will no doubt appreciate my ineptitude.

Amazon still has an alternative BaByliss Smooth Glide Clipper which I have just bought. Hopefully, I will still have some parts of my ear left.

It's all very well, but aren't you buzz-cutters worried about the woodpecker menace? 🙂

Mrs Squad is doing mine tomorrow and I’m dreading it. You all look cool with short hair and beards but I don’t have a beard so might have to grow one sharpish?
Will let you know tomorrow how it went.....if I haven’t bottled it.
