So, I've just seen on twitter that pornhub is offering free access to people in Italy.
The conspiracy thread has a few film suggestions and Contagion is rising in the streaming charts.
If we are locked down what's the entertainment plan.
Probably do a lot of zwifting. Read some of those books that accumulate faster than the holidays I read them on. Get all the bikes serviced and functional (always one needs fettling!).
Keep it light hearted and humerous please...
Surely your first sentence answers it all - just VPN to mask you aren't in Italy!
Obviously a lot of hankies will need to be used though so that'll the next shortage.
Turbo trainer, bike maintenance and trying to find ways to wind up mate's (who'll be doing the same to me!).
For entertainment/ tips
Cover the entire ground floor with a scalextric circuit , order in takeaways and a case of wine, pray the wife doesn't get it and have to stay home demanding I do something more worthwhile. Re read the last few William Gibson novels .
Read some of those books that accumulate faster than the holidays I read them on
Yeah I think my kindle library will outlast the human race, let alone corona. It's only going to get worse when the VAT comes off.
I think I might give a foreign language a go though so I've a better chance of finding someone to talk to on the cb [do they still exist?] after the apocalypse
a case of wine, pray the wife doesn’t get it
The wine or the virus? I'd be fine with one of those
order in takeaways
Hmmm.
Build a bog roll fort, obviously.
Decorating. Picked up a wallpaper steamer yesterday.
Possible birth rate spike in 9 months?
My friend is asking when pornhub started charging? Would unlimited access be the reason for shortage of toilet rolls?
I think I'll mostly make small talk on a cycling forum
Debating getting a pallet of hardwood offcuts to make stuff like paddles during lockdown
I shall watch box sets of Jackass.
Surfing.
Lots of surfing..

So many things to watch on Youtbue ...
Also plenty of time to learn a new skills.
We have more books in the house than the local library but sadly I'm not much of a reader. I think I'll do more biking. No one comes within 2 metres of an old man in lycra.
Decided yesterday to give self until September to learn how to play the Doors ‘Riders On The Storm‘ (as per Manzarek, ie both bass and lead) using Mr’s Rider’s old electronic piano. I am so non-ambidextrous that it took an hour last night to play the bassline (LH) along with only one other note on the right hand. Currently half-speed and generally mess up after one or two bars. Am guessing it should be easier, but fairly-sure my brain is wired oddly. Maybe it will ‘click’ some neural pathway back into place with repetition 🤣
When Zeptember comes then I’ll celebrate by hopefully selling something I’ve put by and then buying an electronic drum kit to learn ‘When The Levee Breaks’ (for starters). Feels cathartic even thinking about it.
More practically speaking:
- Want to learn linocut skills.
- Continue painting, drawing, more en plein-air
- Keep on riding and hill-walking is a given, as is the kick-scooter
My plans include:
DIY & fix all bikes
Riding bikes if we can get away with it
Gardening
PS4
Bridge online
Reading
Painting and sketching
Whittling
But, I’ll probably spend all day reading covid19 threads on here ; )
My friend is asking when pornhub started charging?
Only their Premium tier. Like the YouTube subscriptions.
Just re-read my plans back to me, and I sound about 80 yrs old. Let’s see if I can save the day. Ahem:
I also am required by fortune to build one of those website thingummies. Here is a moving picture type of ‘meme’ which will hopefully connect with those of you out there in Youngsville.
lolz kekz, eh?
Possible birth rate spike in 9 months?
We could call their generation Coronials.
Drac

I don't know but it could definitely spark growth in the sock market

Exactly the same as my current daily routine, get up around lunchtime, make scrambled eggs, make coffee, have a joint, lounge about the house, read book, browse online, stare out the window, have tea, lounge about the house, have a joint/beer/whisky, go to bed and repeat till i eventually get the virus and drop off the mortal coil.
just VPN to mask you aren’t in Italy!
We tried this last night and it works....
The problem is my flat isn't that big and I'm reluctant for the GF to catch on to how much self abuse takes place.
I've got a dozen camera films I really should develop/scan. By the time I've done that and emerge, blinking, into the daylight it should all be over
the Doors ‘Riders On The Storm‘
Not normally my cup of tea but I really like snoop dogg's "version".
Bought a kickr about 4 weeks ago so great timing to smash out some Zwift.
Same as usual for me since I WFH anyway! Still biking of course.
That didnt work, dunno how to delete either. (Self confessed tech tard)

Just inhereited a couple of clocks that need a strip and clean. Going to dive in and try to learn a little of the craft my grandad made his living at.
Well, if we get sent home from work, it’ll allow me to catch up on the large wicker basket full of books and the other small piles dotted around the place.
Drink tea, sit out in the garden if it’s dry, go for walks, easy to avoid other people when out and about.
Oh, and carry on going through my piles of cd’s, re-ripping the ones that got lost when my hard drive and backup drive both went on the fritz - still got around 100Gb to restore
Got a pile of Warhammer models to paint, some raised beds to build and generally all the chores a new (to us) house provides. Also ordered a load of hedging plants from the Woodland Trust so that as well I guess.
Oh and a dissertation to write. Damn
Read the first of the 'Sharpe' novels this afternoon.
If anyone has anymore they don't mind leaving outside our house, drop us a line. 🙂
The Kindle versions are extortionate.......
I've got 4 aces of paddocks to keep mown, logs to cut and split, the entrance kitchen and loo in my office isolation ward need painting, a 225hp V6 outboard engine to reassemble (lower half... not difficult) and some guttering to replace.
Plenty of stuff to keep me occupied, all I need is the incentive to go and start it!
Bike bits should start arriving over the next couple of weeks, so build that.
Just started on zwift, have a hilariously low w/kg, so build that.
PS4 + PSVR for when I’m not doing the above.
Continue WFH as that’s how I roll in my line of work anyway.
May have a go at replacing the patio and fencing. Need to rip out some hedging and replace with picket fence and some sort of instant golden hedge thing. Figure out new driveway gates.
I've put 33 CDs of RTE reading/performing Ulysses onto an MP3 player. I've a big pile of wood for carving. Spuds are chitting and the garden will need attention. I've started an art commentary project. Mrs is WFH and apart from a quick dart to the shop, we haven't been out since Wednesday.
The further we go into this viral vortex it is important that people share experiences, innovations, and humour.
On the bright side, I've got £30 in notes in my wallet, it has remained there for a week, an event unknown in human history.
Our garden isn't going to have a single weed in it...
Cat videos - finally a purpose.
Bit concerned x-box live had gone down - just reared an entire generation on Fortnite - what could possibly go wrong?
And my sensible contribution...

Agreed, for me it's going to be photos of landscapes.
I'm WFH from today I think, Boss told me last night.
I'm going to pack up my work desktop, it's got a decent spec with a GPU. I've got enough work to keep me busy at the moment, but I suspect a couple of weeks of not much happening - I'm going to play through GTA V again and maybe buy RDR2 for the PC. I've got it for Xbox but my PC should in theory offer better graphics so I can feed dead highway men to Alligators at a higher frame rate and resolution.
Garden needs work, bike always needs something, by jockey wheels died at the weekend (GX Eagle) clean my car.
Getting the house ready to sell. Decorating, clearing out junk (could be a problem if the tip is closed). No idea whether there'll be anyone alive to buy it after the apocalypse but I guess even zombies and survivors will need a place to sleep.
Well I have roughly 2 weeks to get through all the jobs I've been putting off forever. Should be fun.
I've got a dissertation to write but I've just seen BritBox has 9 seasons of Vera to catch up on so I suppose I'll mainly be watching Vera pet.
Watched Arietty with daughter this eve.
Lovely.
somafunk - two days ago up there ^^^....how can you maintain that schedule?
I'm tired out just reading it....
Got a book to finish writing, a loft to clear, lawn to seed, patio to re-lay, teenager to counsel, and a 9yr to teach how to play guitar.
Might need a little longer!
I am finally going to tidy my garage. Wonder if the tip will be open.
@bikebuoy my first job this morning is to wander down to the surf shop and stockpile wax. I'll do food after.
I will finally do the stretching/yoga that has been my New Years resolution multiple times. If I can touch my toes by the time this is all over I'll be a happy man!
Not that fussed on training- I am assuming there won't be a cyclocross season this year.
I am more concerned about entertainment for my three year old who is a bundle of energy and a bit of a liability
Tame the wild and windswept heathland that is currently our back garden.
Actually pick up my guitar rather than just look at it.
But most importantly..... try not to murder my offspring. Couping up a 5 and an 8 year old for protracted periods is going to be..... trying, praying they don't ban bike rides like they did in Spain.
Weeding, planting more weeding, re seed lawn after weeding obvs, pruning, re bark paths.
Scales on my guitar, more scales, repertoire practice plus new pieces, then the big one I have been putting off the CAGE system. Might even re string the classical guitar but Martin still sounds fine.
Major catch up on reading but unsure about library books.
Might sneak out on my bike for some night rides.
Learn a musical instrument, or another one if you already can play. Harmonicas are cheap & cheerful, don’t require any amps or any other extras.
For movies/tv series, try:
Survivors
Outbreak
Contagion
Any ‘Living Dead’ films
Z-Nation (like The Walking Dead but with its tongue firmly in its cheek)
I Zombie
Learn to brew beer, it’s surprisingly easy
Make a model kit. See the Christmas Airfix thread; other model kits are available, and often higher quality than Airfix
Get a radio controlled device - cars, aeroplanes, helicopters, quadcopters (drones).
Helicopters are particularly challenging as long as you stay away from those with contra-rotating blades
edit
I think it's finally time to take up Amazon on their offer of free Prime for a month?
I am finally going to tidy my garage. Wonder if the tip will be open.
Just drop it over Pennard Cliffs - nobody'll be around to worry about it! 😀

God almighty, a world full of harmonica players? It's worth catching the virus to avoid that!
Just drop it over Pennard Cliffs – nobody’ll be around to worry about it!
I will 😎 Three Cliffs Bay is still recovering from the last tidal flood-dump of 3ft-deep plastic waste. I will stare-down any (even jocular and imaginary) attempts to further sully that place
*Iceberg stare*
Going to dust off the guitar - sorry to my neighbours and girlfriend - and read a couple of books.
Seems like a decent weekend is coming up, so some time spent in the garden doing things. The bikes will be sparkling 🙂
Frankconway: yeah it’s a tiring schedule to maintain but what else To do?, mixing it up tday though as I’m still in bed at 2pm, might get up soon as I’ve had a delivery of my new iPhone so got that to play with to motivate me to get up and dressed.
Fencing and patio'ing and time to sort out the rest of the garden & shed..there's plenty to keep me occupied.
I've decided to eat better.
Today's breakfast (with picture): Toaster waffles, blueberries, raspberries, mango, pineapple, pomegranate seeds and greek yoghurt.
Tomorrow's will be more meat based.
I’ve got a phd thesis to write, not sure if that counts as entertainment.
Mount & Blade: Bannerlord is coming out, so there’s that.
Plenty of production editing to do at home.
Also second job is a home job.
Doom eternal from Friday.
Dog / Bikes. Always DIY jobs too.
Also genuinely fancy watching Outbreak!
Will mainly miss restaurants.
