It's to be replaced by a big red down arrow for the political threads.

Site seems to be having a particularly bad week for 502 bad gateways, they're probably turning things on and off to try to resolve.

(along with getting the text editor back).

When you're in the reply box, click to "Text" then back to "Visual" and the toolbar should appear.

Ah, but they've now fixed the Visual/Text bar fault in the posting box. Which probably broke the 'Like' button.

At least if the hamsters were having a fag break then it’d be over in 5 mins, it seems the hamsters have overdosed on a cocktail of fentanyl, heroin and Valium before being taken outside and shot

How do you reply to a post with a quote? I see other people do it, but I’ve never been able to figure out how that works.

edit: I’d have thought that simply clicking on “reply” should do the trick, no?

edit 2: why can you only edit your posts for 30 nanoseconds?

I copy the text I want to reply to, paste into the reply box, and click the 'speechmark' button.

You have 15 minutes to edit posts!

To quote - go to text editor > click B-QUOTE > paste text you are quoting > click B-QUOTE again.

Visial editor doesn't work IME.

Yup.

To quote – go to text editor > click B-QUOTE > paste text you are quoting > click B-QUOTE again.

Or highlight the pasted text and hit the button once.

You can type blockquote tags manually also. You can do some funky things with that sort of shenanigans.

Gone again for me. Loads of 502 errors too. Also I typed this reply out 3 times and half way through the text I’d typed disappeared from the reply box. Weird!

I would have liked that post but both like and the ability to quote etc in Text editor have disappeared for me.

I try to show some tolerance for the perpetual poor performance and functionality on here, but jeez it's hard when it never seems to get any better. It would be easier to swallow it if there was some realistic end game, some proper fix on the horizon instead of the constant sticking plasters between one bad episode and the next.

If the forum were an officer and a gentleman it would already be dusting off the mess Webley to do the decent thing.

Just testing the quote function

Hmm, I see. It applies the 'quote' box whilst the inverted commas are greyed out, and the text is sort of middle justified. OK for the moment...

Currently getting white text on white background on threads and bits of the menu on mobile. Not sure it's a deliberate design decision.
