In the market for a new tent after my previous 10year old tent failed due to too much UV.
Have seen Lightwave tents on Sportpursuit with 30-40% off.
Are the tents any good and does anyone pay full RRP for them?
I have one. Its good. Beware tho some of their designs do not have taped seams due to the material used. some of them are mesh interior some full material . The former is good in hot weather but not in Scotland!
We’ve had one for 10 years and it’s served us very well. The quality of construction seems to be high and so far waterproof! We have the semi-geodesic design with the extended porch, which worked well for us on trips to the alps in the summer months and numerous trips at home in Scotland. I’d certainly buy another.
I have an old Lightwave Ion. Very good tent. Don't know if they are still the same quality.
Yes, good tents.
Usually at the stronger rather than lighter end of things, usually some nice details that do make a difference. Many are outer pitch first. The ones I've been in were spacious compared to other brands.
The nontaped are sil-nylon, and like most sil-nylon leave you to home seal. It's a 20 min job, I've never had to re-do it.
I would really like one of their rucksacks.
I've got a t20 hyper and it is very good. It's easy to erect and all the materials used feel first rate.
Such a shame - looks like Sportpursuit aren't selling any of the models I'm interested in.
