It shouldn't be but it is. I was looking forward to going to Nantes tomorrow for a ride on the "Grand Elephant" but, Mrs Chaz isn't well and hasn't been for some while. She has an underlying issue of ME/CFS and has had a dose of either Bronchitis or a non-specific viral infection which has laid her low and the Hay Fever isn't helping either. Now, I'm used to coping with her feeling poorly and can usually rise to the occasion and be appropriately helpful and sympathetic. This time though its got to me and I feel really hacked off, there have been a few occasions when I/we have something planned and it doesn't come off because she doesn't feel up to it and we've wasted money on tickets etc to the extent that I really can't be bothered making any arrangements. The illnesses are also making her quite anti-social in as much as she doesn't want to meet anyone or do anything outside the house, doesn't help that we are quite isolated and in rural Brittany! I'm apparently insufferably healthy (whether I feel it or not) and just have to get on with the mechanics of life. I also don't have any mates nearby who I can go to the pub with for a moan so thanks for reading! Sorry to spoil your Saturday nights.
I have nothing to say except I feel for your plight. I hope things look up for you soon. Find a good film to watch and pour yourself a glass of something good, and try to enjoy one another's company.

I think it's incredibly sad that this condition is not understood nor does there appear to be any appetite in researching to improve the lives of patients. Added to which the terminology changes cos Wessely and his ilk are determined to slap a psyche label on those unfortunate patients. That's a lot to stomach.
