Well what do we think?
I have always been a massive Roses fan - in fact for a time they were far and away my favourite band of all time, though thankfully I've out grown that they still rank in my all time top 10. Oasis were just a sideshow to me, principally cos I couldn't stand the ladish nonsense they projected and the songs were catchy but very derivative and lyrically empty. One thing they had going for them however was Liam's voice which I honestly think was better than people gave him credit for.
So we now have the latest colab which had it happened in the 90s would have been the most awesome.....now its Just Another Rainbow
OK I love this album and I never really thought I would

Used to love both their bands. Saw Oasis in a half empty Wedgewood Rooms on their 2nd tour.. but meh, I've moved on. Can't stand revivals or nostalgia gigs. I'll leave the old has-beens for other people.

Because you’ve always been into Usher and this isn’t your thing or…..
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Because you’ve always been into Usher and this isn’t your thing or…..

Specially for you Merak XX
Its
not
very
good.
At all.
Far better music out there!
yes there is. correct. 100% right.
still a good cooking / washing up album though
anyway i've moved on to Thunder Above You by Ida Mae which is just as boomer especially as resonator guitar is peak uncool.

I desperately wanted to like it because I love Johns guitar playing. But the songs are meh, the lyrics embarrassing, and the guitar playing isn’t enough to carry the rest of it
Do it Yourself was great Definitely Maybe was great. The Stones Roses was great.
The rest were dogs shit.👍
Listening to Liam sing a song is like listening to one long drawn out sneer. Or am I missing the nuance?
Liam sounds like he's singing whilst wearing a scuba mask nowadays.
Loved both bands, not into this. Just dull.
It's a no from me.
I'm of the right age, but was never into Oasis, Blur or any of the britpop Madchester music back then - more of a dance music and clubbing flavour.
However, in recent years I've grown to like most of it - except Blur, still turn most of their song of theirs off instantly.
Wanted to like this but the lyrics are so weak as said. Just another sodding rainbow off please.
Has so much potential yet just seems production lazy.
I was a Britpop boy, love the Roses, loved early Oasis, but they both only really did one good album each, plus a good selection of good early b-sides. They both went off the boil pretty quickly after their early stuff.
Saying that, I'm a firm believer that there's no such thing as good music or bad music, that's just stuff you like and stuff you don't like, it's all just subjective.
However, I'm willing to make an exception in this case, because that ^ is effing dreadful.
Turgid, sub-Stereophonics pub rock
loved the Roses' first album, didn't mind Definitely Maybe, but my god they're really phoning it in here. Just sounds like any pub band.
To call it uninspired would be generous
One thing they had going for them however was Liam’s voice which I honestly think was better than people gave him credit for.
His voice is and always has been ****ing terrible. Oasis were like some sort of Jive Bunny for 60’s and 70’s pop rock. The 90’s had so much better music.
Yes - I feel I may have been wrong here. In my (weak) defence, I had been fed several beers and listened to it at a local taproom on some fancy equipment - Wombling Free would have sounded pretty good in those circumstances.......
Having listened again this afternoon on a cup of tea and some hobnobs......I confess I may have been a bit too enthusiastic. Especially as I just listened to Do It Yourself for balance and despite me not really rating it when it came out, it is quite a bit better.
So yeah
Its
not
very
good
I really like it. It's not ground breaking, but it's good to hear some good guitar playing for a change these days
It's meh. Better than Do It Yourself, which is a low bar.
