Been looking at job lots of Lego on EBay. What is the usual price to pay per kg?

You can search for "lego job lot" and limit to "completed listings". That will tell you how much they are selling for.

I find it's best to try and find one that's local pickup only somewhere you can reach.

Every so often one will be poorly listed or end at a funy time and you can get a bargain.

We've managed 9kg with lots of technic for £19.
Another was 6kg of mixed older stuff for £15.

^^^^ That's a very good price.

Also, check to see if you're buying from a smoker. We have a load of stuff that has been through the washing machine twice now and is finally ok.

Yes - we looked up how to clean Lego and did that too. Works great (although it wasn't from a smoker - just dusty/greasy/old)

Prices were good, but we were very patient 🙂

Just look for a red BMW with the sunroof ajar 🙂

We did this and got utterly shafted with endless numbers of left side wings etc but no matching right hand side..

Bloody annoying for [s]me[/s] my kids, who are right into building symmetrical colour coordinated stuff atm

More thanks,

We've managed 9kg with lots of technic for £19.
Another was 6kg of mixed older stuff for £15.

Bargain 🙂

So far we have 3kg for £18 and .5kg of wheels & tyres for £5.50 😕

So is it ok to wash in washing machine?

Look up how to do it, but it worked well for us.
(mesh bags, or something else to contain them so they don't just bang together, etc)

I'm picking up 23kg (City, Star Wars and Space) for £48 tomorrow morning 🙂

£10-20 per kg is the going rate IMO, depending on flavour of bricks.
