Just been shopping with the kids for Lego, sat the Build-it sets and took a punt on the 1500 piece "ultimate sports car" set

Looks at first glance like Lego technic! For £50 well worth a punt for evening entertainment

If you're buying flego you could've had it for £30.

Ooooo   that flego looks very nice.   Although the fake saturn5 for half the price I paid for a preowned lego one sticks in the throat a bit.    Still.... space shuttle cheap to go with.... and the cars...and.....oooo

I bought the Yamaha bike from there.

Is it Lego quality, of course not.  Specifically for a Technic set, some fittings require considerable force, my fingers were sore by the time I'd finished.  The bike chain is ropey as hell.  And either I'd missed a step or the gearbox doesn't actually connect to the engine.  All that said, it was considerably better than I was expecting for the money.

If it was a set I intended to tear down and rebuild / build other things out of, I'd swerve it over proper Lego.  As a display piece I can't really fault it, I had a lot of fun building it and the add-on lighting kit is excellent.

I rarely use this forum due to folk such as yourself becoming touched by truth.

Plus I am old enough and bright enough not to be sucked into purchasing ultimately expensive plastic.

Though be my guest 🙂

Xx
