Can any fellow lefties recommend somewhere reliable to buy preloved/preowned/used/secondhand electric guitars? I've been looking for a few weeks now, they're like rocking horse wotsit.
EBay fills the criteria except 'reliable' 🙂
At least leave search running for local stuff, you can view and judge the seller.
There's usually a few in places like Cash Converters.
You can't buy them, but conversely, you can't get rid of them either.
Not going down the ebay route again.... Cash Converters seem to want top dollar for anything they sell (bet they don't pay that!)
Just want a decent guitar in reasonable condition for around £300 from a real shop!
http://www.lefthandedguitars.co.uk/ don't do secondhand but have a large selection of reasonably priced new ones. Got a good Les Paul copy for my son which has had 10 years of heavy use.
holiday music / strings direct in rochford essex - specialise in left handed guitars - new and used.
What you after Im about to sell 4 of mine...??
If I remember correctly,Jimi Hendrix did alright with a regular guitar, just had it restrung...
What kayak said - in fact once he (Hendrix) got a bit of success and could afford to buy a lefty, he said he preferred the "wrong" switch / whammy bar positions and stuck with a restrung righty..
IIRC Dick Dale (the twangy guitar thing from Pulp Fiction) plays / played a guitar strung the wrong way for him - i.e. high E at the top, not bottom. Can't remember if he's a lefty playing a normally strung (for a right hander) guitar flipped over though, or indeed if I'm imagining the whole thing.
Sorry to be no help whatsoever
I have some nice lefty guitars I want to get rid of 🙂

Got to fit a new nut really too. I think if lefty's had been available to him Jimi would have played one, but unlearning guitar habits are a nightmare once you're off.
Right about Dick Dale too, partially contributes to his sound, that ****ting the life out of the low E that's now at the bottom.
Can't believe it's that hard to find one though - where are you? Denmark street is worth a walk. I bought my Twin in Birmingham (Music Exchange??) that shop was MASSIVE. I assume it's still in business. Must be loads like it dotted around the country.
Cheers all.
