Its £40 for airport parking for the week a the end of the month, but the flight is at 815, so it would be ideal to come over the night before. One hotel I've seen does parking and is £105 including taxis, so not bad, i just know you people out there can top that.

Any recommendations?

in fairness, there are a pethora of cheap hotels (of varying quality) in Leeds. the 757 bus goes to the airport for not much cash or a taxi to yeadon is only going to be £15-£20 tops. Stick the car somewhere nice in north Leeds and get a taxi. Or for a duty free bottle of havana 7 year old rum, you can stick the car on my drive in Armley?

Beware of the great airport taxi scam at LBA.
For a taxi to drop you off it costs £2 extra to enter the airport car park even if it is for 10 seconds, so you'll probably be dropped off 200m from the terminal on the access road. As LBA is the highest airport in the UK (650ft) the weather is often inclement.
When you land you can look forward to the Arrow cabs monopoly. They bought the single licence to operate directly from the airport car park. So to repay the huge fee they paid for this exclusive licence their fares are very expensive. You could of course phone a local private hire company but they will have to pay the £2 extra to pick you up and if you're not local you won't know any local taxi companies anyway.
LBA is a joke of an airport. I'd avoid it if at all possible. Rant over.

Just pay the robbing gits the £40 car park fee, it'll be easier.

PS have a great holiday
