For dog-walking? Alpkit Gamma or their new torch which costs the same, but does away with the remote battery box. Sorted.

Yes dog walking, it gets dark in the woods at night.

I wasn't querying your need, I was just asking whether it was purely for dog-walking or if it needed to be capable of owt else. I should have said 'just for dog walking' but I missed that bit. Anyway, the Alpkit torches are bang on for that sort of thing. 🙂

I have a petzel head torch I think 50 lumens for camping and as a backup for night rides and think it is ace. I lost a previous one which had a defuser that slid up to give a wider weaker beam that was really useful . I borrowed a mates alpkit gamma last night the functions were a bit fiddly but for the quality and price it would be hard to beat.
