Any recommendations for an LED floodlight with PIR? Looking for something around 50w in cool white for the garage. Nothing on LED Hut with a PIR unfortunately. I know I could fit a separate PIR but I'd prefer to have this integrated into the light.

Bought a couple from ebay about 6 months ago and one has started constantly flickering, so clearly they were cheap for a reason.

Mines came from LEDHUT .

the PIR ones are under the options once you have clicked on the product.

bit clunky but having been inside one that was DOA they are pretty well sealed and have held up well for the last 2 years in an exposed location.

The DOA one was replaced without question.

How about this one?

Second option down say this:

Black Casing - Cool White + Sensor (+ £7.00)

so choose that one & you should get it with a PIR.

Just fitted one. Photos and name to follow when I get out of this meeting. Works well and doesn't dazzle

That's odd, I didn't see the PIR option when I looked this morning. Must be too early for me 🙂

edit: that's because I looked at the 80w, duh

I've bought some from Maplin, they seem well made and good quality except that they come with about 18" of cable, which is useless so I have had to dismantle them and fit a long enough piece of cable to poke through the wall to the fused spur inside.

Screwfix - 10w are about £17, if you mean actually 50 watts that'll be incredibly bright.

Just read the review of the screwfix one

"Good light poor reliability The LED started to strobe after one month it had to be replaced."

Bearing in mind that's the reason for replacing the one I currently have I'll give that one a miss 🙂

I think I recommended the Steinel (above) to WCA on an earlier thread.

They're very well made and come with a 3 yr warranty I believe.

Bit pricey but worth it IMO.

Looks like it's a toss up between the LED Hut one and the Steinel. LED Hut one is brighter I think.

steinel here, super bright and quite a compact unit. i bought mine from amazon.de, but with the exchange rate and shipping it only worked out a few quid cheaper than uk prices. i went for the brighter one (the LED 3) with no PIR and paid about £95
