I've just received the formal offer. After almost 6 months out I don't mind admitting that I am shaking. All being well I start on the 22nd.

Happy, relieved, excited. All words that seem inadequate.

To the other members of the all too big club, keep on trying and DON'T give up.

Might have a beer later...

Cheers!

congrats - just started a permanent role myself this week after doing 6 months as a contractor. It really feels like a weight is lifted

Superb news!

So, what's your next bike to be? 😉

Next bike will be like all the previous bikes. Built up from scratch. Just need the "key" component to start it.

Thinking either Kona Dawg or Cannondale Prophet.

Edit: How rude of me! Thanks for the nice words. New role is IT Support Manager and tbh, can't wait. Six months out of the game is a lonnnng time!

Best of luck Coyote!

The rest-don't give up-keep applying/change strategy/stay positive.

(And save some cash before buying a new bike)

Teggs, under no circumstances give up. This opportunity came from an unexpected source. Best bit of advice? Keep talking. Ex-colleagues, friends, customers, people in the street. Anyone. Just keep talking and someone *will* hear.

Good luck!
