What's the best way to learn to play the guitar other than spend time with a teacher? Anyone got any recommendations for books or websites?
Used to play it OK about 15 years ago but I'm well out of practice. Fancy trying my hand at it again.
Also, any suggestions on where is best to get strings from online?
have a look here. http://www.youtube.com/user/JustinSandercoe he does some great lessons (must admit i should do the same as my guitar playing is abysmally bad 😳
i always point people at justinguitar, good basic and easy to understand.
A teacher is always better though

a will to learn, regularity of practice and stubborness are all you need. there's a million links on the web to help you out along the way.
Nice one on the Stringsdirect link - ordered some strings and picks to help me on my way. (Already managed to break a string - but they are 15yrs old)
come on B, lets have a picture of your axe.......;-)
