i've got a car with a 1983 ford cvh, its suddenly developed a gushing oil leak from the seal where the oil pump bolts onto the front of the engine. i've been told it could also be due to a rubber o ring failing inside the pump.
as i understand, to get to said pump, i've got to strip down the front of the engine inc covers, cam-belts, pulley etc.
i'm not bad with spanners, but i've never attempted anything like this. is it really hectic or should i admit defeat and pay a garage?
