Anyone got any recommendations for a lawn around 30m long? Looking at stuff like this:

We’ve got these for our garden which let you run run the wheels of the lawn mower along the stones so you can cut all the grass. They are also good for robot mowers.
What do you want to gain?
A neat edge? Separation from gravel? Something to run the mower along?
@Roter Stern where did you get those?

A neat straight edge which separates a flower bed from the lawn. We have a line of large rocks which create a wall, then a shallow bed then a lawn.
That plastic stuff looks rubbish after a few weeks and is prone to cracking.
We’ve edged our lawn in sleepers from wickes - they last ages (8 years so far) and look fine.
I'd bite the bullet and use an edging knife and a plank to work to, and it's less work and less expensive than digging, installing and levelling most hard edges
The other problem with a hard edge is that your lawn is unlikely to be either as level or as straight as the hard edge and you'll spend time top dressing, etc. That balances against some faffage when you cut the lawn because you'll need to separately trim the edges, but IME the edging knife won't be needed again
I'm probably going to use Indian Sandstone edging blocks for ours. Similar size to a standard housebrick but not as thick. .60p each at a local supplier.

What you are forgetting is that grass doesn't just grow upwards. It grows sideways too. Your lawnmower only cuts the upright bits. The sideways growing bits will grow over whatever blocks you lay. Then you will have to get the lawn edging shears (that you want to throw away) out of the bin and trim round the edges of the blocks. Eventually the grass will completely grow over the blocks unless you keep it trimmed back. But as you are laying your blocks to the edge of the lawn you can't use shears. You will have to get down on your hands and knees with hand shears (I use sheep shears!) and trim the edge between the lawn and blocks. These blocks won't save you work, but create more work for you.
I don’t have a neat edge to begin with as it weaves in and out of the rocks and bed. I’ll just ditch the edging with blocks/plastic idea, cut an edge and get some edge shears. Cheers!
