One of those specialist pieces I've been meaning to buy for a while, and finally got round to it. It's a little shorter than earlier versions, but supremely well balanced in the hand. The machining work is up to the usual Park standards, with not a blemish on the exposed metal. The handle has the expected blue colour, with just the right amount of padding for the leverage the tool generates.

Early use shows it works on standard size, and the rarer, larger format equally well. A crisp, easy action that just makes using it a pleasure. OK, so cheaper alternatives are available, but if a job is worth doing, it's worth doing properly, and the right tool for the job makes it all the better.

Highly recommended.

BO-2, by the way.

the hope bottle opener is a bit rubbish..which is hard to say as a Hope fan. As it's just got a straight edge it doesnt get under the lip on all bottle caps and it bends them a lot when removing which is a pain as I like to keep interesting ones to use on my bar ends.

Best bottle opener is on the traditional twin lever corkscrew IMO.

That's the real problem with 1x setups, you lose the bottle opener on the chainset.
