Anyone had one? Is it just like any other meniscus tear? Due to have surgery on the 21st of December.

Not sure which bit of mine I've torn, injury was a result of a skiing accident where I broke my ACL. Surgeon advised that if it wasn't causing pain to leave it as all he could do was cut stuff away to try and cure any pain, he couldn't repair it.

Yeah I had the choice of if I wanted it doing or not. He said if you don't the tear might get bigger or he could goin and tidy it all up and hhopefully I should be ok. And if my knees hurting and swelling with activity which itis then iI'll get it done.

He needs to teach his registrar some more as the registrar said there is nowt wrong but he''ll send me for a Mr ascan. And lo and behold there is a tear. Consultant was excellent. And let me choose when I wanted it doing.

U in Bolton. Had mine done at the Beaumont last year on NHS. Couldn't fault any of the specialists I saw.

Well Darwen but my gp is in Bolton. And having it done at at Royal Bolton. Mr Shepard.
