You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
As said, I'm trying to get away from forums, but I still love this place so tonight I have been listening to music instead, best album for me tonight has been tango in the night!
I'm either old or need to be educated, either way I'm up for it... 😉
Most...
Don't worry about what others think!
Just bought Rumours, i was worried it might sound a bit naff after all these years, no worries, better than ever..
Tango in the Night. Good choice. Almost a Lindsey Buckingham solo album. Still prefer Rumours though. Have you tried 60's Fleetwood Mac when Peter Green was in the band. Back then Oh Well and The Green Manalishi must have sounded like they were coming from Mars. If you like Fleetwood Mac then for something more contemporary try You and I by The Pierces. A lot of that sounds like it cold have come off a Fleetwood Mac album circa 1977
Tusk. In its entirety. With the pauses, as Lindsey Buckingham intended 🙂
Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac > MOR Fleetwood Mac
IMHO they're different and just as good as each other.
Fleetwood Mac is good but ABBA rules ... end off.
Just finished watching the documentary "Synth Britannia"... 🙂
Gary Numann, New Order, Depeche Mode and Vince Clarke etc... Bloody awesome! What a time to have been growing up listening to pop music, I only wish I was old enough to have appreciated it...
I agree, the Who are definitely better than Fleetwood Mac. Fleetwood Mac truly suck.
FM are an easy target to dismiss, but they've done some crackers over the years. The Chain is a sold gold classic, for a start. Tango in the Night is a decent album; Isn't it Midnight is a massively underrated non-single track.
Not my favourite band by any stretch, but not deserving of the contempt levelled at them by some.
But then, one of my favourite bands is T'Pau, so what do I know. (-:
Rumours was my favourite and still gets a regular listen these days.
I quite like Stevie Nicks solo albums as well.
I like "Rumours", bit I just couldn't resist:
Resurrection due to the One Show...
😯Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac > MOR Fleetwood Mac
They were basically a blues band, for Christ's Sake! MOR only came in with the likes of Kansas, Foreigner, Boston,
et al.
Try listening to Black Magic Woman, The Green Manalishi, and Oh Well, Parts 1&2.
What I'm really hoping for is that the hints given by Stevie and Lindsay are true, and BuckinghamNicks is finally getting a proper, re-mastered CD release. I bought a vinyl copy, which, fairly predictably for the period, was warped. Took it back, and it had been deleted in the meantime!
I'd rather Jack than Fleetwood Mac
been posted already, but.....
No one mentioned JLS yet?
My favourite Fleetwood Mac song.
Man of the World is my favourite too.
"He has the sweetest tone I ever heard; he was the only one who gave me the cold sweats" BB King on Peter Green.
Fleetwood mac were supposed to be releasing a new record. Turned out it was just rumours.
No, it's Who are better than Fleetwood Mac.
The Reynolds Girls?
