Should be interesting based on the stuff they got up to 1st time around.

Right now the world really needs the KLF back.

They've always been far more interesting than pretty much anyone else out there. And its great that what they're definitely not doing is some kind of cash in, by just cynically coming back and playing their old stuff at huge gigs to fund a luxurious retirement

Wonder if a day goes by when they don't regret burning all that money

Damn right. And their sonic weapons.

45 by Bill Drummond is an excellent read.

They're justified and they're ancient and they drive an ice cream van...

Didn't they make an audience spontaneously defecate themselves at an early gig, by sampling compressed sub-bass frequencies?

Or did I just dream it?

And Chill Out - still amazing!

(I have no idea why this link starts playing 32 minutes into the album - well worth a rewind and a listen tho.)

Ah, the famous "Brown note". that was a South Park episode

However as Binners should know, Bill Drummond has said he's "aware" of the documentary (and another two in the pipeline) but the KLF will NOT be reforming, at least according to @BBCRadMac yesterday ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b08651f3, jump to about 37 minutes)

@ harry the Spider - Wasn't that shot of the K wagons taken at the Twyford Down road protest camp? I was never quite sure whether they were just jumping the PR bandwagon when they got involved in the protest scene.

@ nbt - Dammit. I've always been rather fond of that notion. Ah well . . .

I wonder if this means my collection of James Cauty artwork will start to go up in value...?

I saw something on twitter yesterday saying it was a sculpture, it was on Bill Drummonds website a year ago apparently.

Is Tammy Wynette even still alive?

Tammy Wynette died a while back. The next day Bill Drummond wrote a lovely, and obviously genuinely heartfelt piece about her in the Guardian, saying how warm and hospitable she was to these two nutters who turned up out of the blue from England asking her to sing about ice cream vans. Just had a quick google but can't find it.

They got the overnight flight, and she picked them up from the airport and took them back to her house and cooked them breakfast. Then recorded the genius that is Justified and Ancient

Grauniad article here about possible comeback.

On the back of it I've just dug out and am playing The White Room. It's aged well.

Didn't King Boy D start randomly twinning towns (putting proper signs up) without their consent/knowledge? 😀

Never stopped listening to Chill out and I've been listening to White Room since this turned up in Macc in November.

Once got a shout out from Bill Drummond on Marc Radcliffes evening show when he was touring the UK making soup for people living on Lay Lines

I always like this one.

I saw a number plate in Corstorphin last year - EJ57 KLF.

I was jealous.

I did the 17 with Bill Drummond and met him in a castle basement. Bloke is a genius and I am proud that my singing can never be heard again.

Remember being in the Purple Turtle bar around 1991 when the KLF were played. People dancing tables, chairs etc, the whole place really rocked. Never saw anything like it.

Well as part of the bijoupotatoes musical education this morning we had the white room at breakfast. Postie walked in during transcentral to see fat middle aged man in dressing gown busting moves to the bemused toddler. I think we may have scared him...

I went to a large illegal festival at Steart Beach by Hinkley Point on the Queen's golden jubilee.. There were nearly 40 sound systems in attendance and it was a pretty mad max affair with the brightly lit power station as the backdrop..
If you were brave enough to venture into the pitch darkness beyond the main site and wonder across the water meadow that contains the gently steaming streams that cool the water from the plant, there was a very large, immaculate, military looking sound system clearly worth a bob or two standing alone away from the chaos of the main site..

It was unmanned and playing very loud and oppressive, industrial type abstract sound. When you turned to head back across the meadow you were blinded by a strategically placed strobe that made negotiating the cooling streams very difficult, but very difficult indeed for my mate's 65yo, epileptic, tripping balls dad (much to our hysterical amusement)

Rumour had it that this intense art installation was the work of the foundation.. 🙂

I read that after they had explained Justified and Ancient to Tammy she didn't get it at all, a few rehearsals and still struggling. Then they went for a take and she nailed it, blew them away. She wasn't well when they did it and as said above Drummond said some really kind words about her.

K Foundation, Time is running in full page ads in the Guardian bonkers

So it looks like it's a book rather than music, I would like to hear some new music by them but I don't think it could manage to live up to their previous stuff.
