Looking for a cottage(s) for a family gathering (14 people) for a weekend in the spring.
Any recommendations?
Somewhere near a pub would be ideal!

Thanks

I stayed in a house in Sedbergh which catered for a lot of people ~20 which might be worth a look.
Good facilities in the town, close to pubs etc and nicely furnished.

I forget the name though unfortunately.

Yew Bank Cottage in Roger Ground (wandering back from the pub distance from Hawkshead).

My Father rented it out for his 60th, had a load of friends and family to stay etc. nice pubs in the town for meals etc. Handy for walking and cycling routes.

Think there were about 14 of us or thereabouts, big place, nicely outfitted.

EDIT: quick google, this is it http://www.cottages4you.co.uk/cottages/yew-bank-lwe pics show it well

Sallys are good. used them for a place to sleep 12 in the western lakes last Easter. We rented a place in St Bees that's was nice.....although quite far from the Dales if you want to be half way between.

Sykes cottages are good too for finding places.

St bees isn't quite in 'the lakes' by the way!

This was one of the more reasonably priced I found-

If you aren't after creature comforts, though, Bassenthwaite Parish Rooms are excellent- they have a nice new kitchen and a big open village hall to sleep in with table tennis and a piano.

Look no further: http://www.fawcettmill.info/

Out of the Lakes, near the Howgills. They will even cook an evening meal for your group if you ask nicely.

We ended up going here

It was great for 14 people, room for a few more.
Thanks to all who helped
