I'm looking for a portable computer device upon which to do the following. Any suggestions?
1. Learning stuff like VBA and coding.
2. Playing Football manager games.
3. Surfing the web.
4. Watching Curb Your Enthusiasm and stuff on Netflix if on long flights. I've no idea if this is possible.
Thanks for humouring me.
You probably want a laptop or a tablet for that. What's your budget?
If you're specifically learning VBA then you'll want something running Windows and a decent keyboard. Five seconds' googling suggests that the Surface Go might fit the bill without spending silly money? https://www.techradar.com/uk/news/mobile-computing/tablets/windows-8-tablets-release-date-specs-and-prices-916134
Though personally for coding I'd want two screens on the go which would dictate a proper laptop. Netflix needs an Internet connection, is Wi-Fi available on your flights?
As no price is mentioned, a Dell XPS 13:

Thanks for your replies.
Ideal budget would be £500 max but willing to go a fair bit higher for the right one.
In terms of flight wifi, I don't know. It was more if a query about how one views favourite shows on a personal device. Can you download from Netflix etc?
Thanks again.
Can you download from Netflix etc?
You can with an iPad, but not on a PC I don't think. Same with Amazon Prime although iPlayer has an app to download stuff onto your PC.
EDIT: Apparently Netflix has a PC app you can download onto. No Mac app though.
I just got an Asus Zenbook from Amazon warehouse for a fantastic price. i5, 8gb, 256ssd. £420. It's a refurb but immaculate. You'll be lucky to get that price as there was an additional discount but still about your budget if they have any left. Has hdmi and USBA via a dongle from one of the 3 USBC ports.
Netflix's Windows 10 app allows you to download movies/tv shows on to your device. That's what I do for train journeys/flights etc - generally the wifi on public transport won't support streaming.
