knocked my lappy off something in the workshop, and hour or so later the web cam, then the screen packed-up within a minute or 2. rplaced the screen and made no difference. still works plugged into external screen.
any diagnoses?
i read something about inverters, then something else saying that modern screens don't have interters...

Inverter failure would give you a very very faint, dark display, rather than none at all.
