Hoping for some tips that make the best of a couple of days plus avoid ending up on something like Jack's Rake and my route ideas being unpopular : )

We're heading to Langdale valley NT campsite soon and I was looking at a few walking routes in the area. We have a car and can drive elsewhere but I'm happy to walk from the campsite. Most of the loops look to be ~12-15km / 650-850m which is ok.

I've looked at loops going to Sickle Tarn and the pikes above Langdale Fell, Angle Tarn and Bowfell Top, around Crinkle Crags and Pike Bliscoe. Perhaps head over to Low-High Peak and Bowfell Top to loop around Rydal Beck valley - looks a bit mellower. Perhaps Scafell since none of us have been up there yet.

Any tips? Thanks.

Walk over side pike/lingmoor fell into little langdale and then back up via Blea tarn is also a good lower level option. Thats from the campsite too.

Or this alternate round to elterwater.

If you get near Blea Tarn and Side Pike, look up "Fat Man's Agony" a rock squeeze, slightly off beaten track.

Cheers all ..

I did see the name on the map, so looked it up - I think the exposed bit might not be what we're after (I love it but others dont!)

Great, thanks - had that loop on the map as an option so good to know.
