Just a quickie: Am I entitled to ask, and be told, how much of the rent I pay is going to the agent?

Just ring them up pretending to be a landlord and wanting to know fees services etc.

From 10-15% for fully 'managed' (this last word is often open to interpretation) 🙂

Edit: you're entitled to ask, but I'd expect them to say 'no'

why does it matter to you? I'd have thought you have no rights to know as a tenant

Easy enough, my agent charges me 9.5% and this is stated on their website. Phone up and ask "what's you're management fee'.

I suspect the agent is a monkey and the OP is going to make a cheeky 'meet you in the middle' offer direct to the LL 😀
