I assume there are a few other plane fanes on here. Was up at Longshaw around 1:40pm today and a Lancaster flew overhead. Only managed to take an awful photo of it on the phone.

Dunno if anyone else has seen it.
Blackpool airshow this weekend.
About to overfly Weston, Somerset
I saw it crossing totley moss, I thought it was a bomber of some kind but didn't get a good enough view to say what type (and indeed the bomber expertise!)
BBMF website often has flightpath info when there are airshows on. As mentioned ^^, it's been at Blackpool this weekend but they can often do a couple of shows in a day, maybe with a few fly-pasts of notable sites in between.
It flew down the valley over Bury, Ramsbottom and Rawtenstall yesterday afternoon, I presumed on its way to Blackpool
Here’s one I drew earlier for the 40’s weekend in the valley. Unfortunately the Lancaster flypasts had to be cancelled at the last minute so it was good to see (and hear) it come over quite low yesterday

We saw it, think we were slogging up jaggers Clough towards hope cross when we saw it.
We saw one flying surprisingly low over Street in Somerset about an hour and a half ago. We assumed that something was going on at Yeovilton but apparently not.
There was a 'Peak' through Lancaster too yesterday! (It's at the rear, a 50 and a 40 upfront 🙂 )
I used to live in Lincolnshire and saw it coming over all the time, even better when accompanied by the Spitfires and Hurricanes, love the noise. Must have been seriously impressive when the thousand bomber raids were setting off (and utterly terrifying at the other end when they arrived!)
Was down for a week last month and only got the Dakota but that's still quite cool. Also a lot of Typhoon activity.
It's not great for mountain biking but does have some plus points living there.
I saw it over Helmshore today (Sunday). Just watched and listened, no photos. I also saw another single engine ww2 ish plane twice, first going north east then returning later, not sure what. Stubby looking thing.

Quite possibly the Chipmunk, I think that was on the schedule for Blackpool too. BBMF has two of them.
They're not flying their Spitfires and Hurricanes at the moment while they investigate the recent fatal crash although there are a couple of other (private collection) Spitfires, maybe the ones with Griffin engines, that are still allowed to fly.
Definitely not a chipmunk. I flew one of those many moons ago.
Much more p-47 but, I think with squarer wing tips
It flew over me on a bike ride, utterly brilliant.
Hampshire, circa 1600.
Didn't know Ernie was that old.
@tractionman - I’ve recently drawn a 40 up for another East Lancs Railway poster. Love the weekends when they’ve got the big diesels running on the line
