[Closed] Lamborghini with the number plate HRO1N

Driving down our street tonight was a Lamborghini with the number plate HRO1N... I thought that was a seriously ballsy drug dealer advertising his wares!

Turns out that it is actually owned by these people:

https://www.hrowen.co.uk/lamborghini/

Is that an indictment of our neighbourhood, my prejudices against people who drive Lambos, or both?

Pretty sure they were a Maserati dealer before...may still be.

The road cycling team (HR Owen-Maserati) morphed some way into Morvelo Basso...

Two trucks in Milngavie a couple of weeks ago, collecting a heap of portaloos from the start line of the Highland Fling ultra marathon.

First one, flatbed with trailer: PU11LOO
Second, pump truck with tank: PU11POO

Class.

I'd guess at NANCE as in Nancy (the woman's name, not slang for homosexual).

A couple of weeks ago I saw the plate, “U L05ER L” on a BMW in a respectable part of Greater London. Couldn’t help thinking the joke was on the owner.

Used to see a freelander with the plate R5 OUL set up as a square plate with the R on one line and rest on the second line.

Was probably accurate.

Not a big fan of personalised plates, but best I've seen is HU58AND on a wedding car. I did wonder if there was a W1FEE or similar to go with it.

A friends dad had an nice Audi A9. His name was Nathan L number plate was A9NAL . Guess he didn't think that one through

Shame the plate wasn't spaced correctly as it could be quite subtle. Mis-spaced it's pretty vulgar though. The worst are those 'BO55 XXX' number plates.

I often pass a white renault trafic van  on the road to Kirkcaldy with the registration OB11 VAN with the word KENOBI written under the plate.

Always makes me chuckle

I used to know a British UIAGM guide in Argentiere who had a Sierra Cossy with H1 4LPS, the 4 was a little canted anticlockwise to make it look like an A.

Suspect it's OR64ZZM. Oxfordshire plate.
Used to see a white M3 with M1NGE. Always made me chuckle.
And a Merc H1PPO. Ironically driven by a rather large lady.

NOT 2B is now on a green Range Rover, but suggests they're still together.

I saw that same Lambo on the M25 recently, and thought the same thing as the OP.

Once saw a champagne coloured Rolls with the plate OA51S RR, looked like Noel Gallagher driving it.

I had a family on my paper round many many years ago, where the very large, very extroverted dad’s name was Gerry. His two cars were plated “Gerry 1” and “Gerry 2”, his daughter’s name was Gerry Ann, and his son’s name was Larry.

No kidding.

To his credit, he was a generous tipper.

Posted this before but when I lived in N London (green lanes) there was a purple Diablo that used to get ragged up and down the high street. I don't even know if it was a real one.
Obviously D14 BLO was taken or too expensive, so it had D1 BLO and henceforth was known as the Diblo. The whole spectacle was just a bit more pathetic than probably intended.

Once saw one of those MG-flavoured boy racer Rover hatchback things (ZR? Maybe) with the plate KN03 HED, which made me giggle.

More on-topic, there's one a few doors down from me that's been through a variety of expensive vehicles over the years, currently some murdered-out X5 or similar. W3 EED. Can't imagine what their source of income might be.

"Did they put a 3.5l V8 in an mg?"

Not 3.5 but

Yes they lobbed a Mustang motor in for a few years

A neighbour has got a tidy 260bhp estate in navy blue but they did a couple of much higher output supercharged 'Xpower' models.

Yes. MGB V8

It was the same American V8 that Rover put into the P6 and SD1’s. Along with Triumph into the TR8. Morgan too IIRC.
