Just arrived in the lakes and hoping to do a big walk tomorrow- did a relatively low level walk and there was quite a bit f snow, has anyone been up scafell pike or the old man recently and could advise whether they are a goer? No climbing gear, but some climbing experience, and got the old emergency bag, first aid kit, torches etc. so not foolhardy. Any advice appreciated!

I was up on Maiden moor on Tuesday night, ground conditions are frozen with patches of hard snow.
