For no particular reason we've ended up with Mrs Higs (who is very credit-worthy) not having any credit cards of her own. The couple of cards we have are in my name and she's an additional card holder. It just suits us that way. The only downside is that she's bombarded with 'pre-credit agreements' etc, applications for credit all filled in that she just has to sign.
About a year ago, these just stopped.
Today she got two.
