Because they are supposedly the best loungers, Mrs Zip decreed we must have them.
They are rubbish, they rely on a little lever to lock you in position rather than a proper click in method. I’ve tightened everything up that I can see with no joy.

Hence I can’t sit in a relaxed position ,either up or down.

Before I go and buy something as good as my old chair ,has anyone bodged a solution?

The lock has never worked on four chairs that I have had but I never have an issue relaxing and staying in any position between up or down

I just extensively tested ours after today's ride.

If I locked the mechanisms on both sides it took a fair effort to get the position to budge. Wouldn't call it locked in place but definitely completely stable. And I'm a big unit at 100kg.

To be fair it usually stays in the fully horizontal anyway.

Move to a house with a sloped garden then you can adjust your sitting/lying angle simply by moving the chair around.

Or if you are too lazy to do this, a couple of bricks to put under the legs offers some degree of adjustability.

The ones with the leg supports (a recliner) Never knew that make was 'a thing'. Had a couple of generic DIY superstore ones for at least 15 years. Work fine.
