That looks like a lashing around middle of multiple strands, then folded to form the eye and the lashing continued a few turns with the opposite end of the lashing.

I assume it's for a hammock? You need to take the multiple strands coming off the hammock, lashing around the middle of them, then fold it all to form an eye and continue the lashing a few turns, eventually tying off with the opposite end of the lashing.
