After overdoing it on a sort of slalom cross trainer thing I have been experiencing some pain in my knee. It's hard to describe - usually it's if I've been sitting for a bit, if I stand up and walk it's like there is a shard of glass behind/under my kneecap. Other times it's more of a soreness on the inside of the knee (feels more "shallow"). Other times there's also a pain in my shin area.

At first I thought I'd just got some training problem and it would go away. Now it has been like this for some weeks and I'm starting to wonder if in fact it is related to a nerve. In some ways that makes more sense as the pain is not consistent.

I know I have to start the process by a trip to the doc, but I am putting it off as the last time I had anything similar (herniated disc) it was the start of a nightmare of misdiagnosis, waiting and frustration.

Tendonitis of patella tendon?? Gotta love a bit of internet diagnosis, but symptoms sound exactly those I've had in past...
