Need to get some hinges like below which are only available in Ikea in the UK now on backorder

http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50105863/

Is this more or less the same thing?

They should be...... But ikea are sometimes random in their sizes.
You may have to re drill the carcass to suit the mounting plates.

They're similar and probably use the same dimensions and holes.
From memory,Ikea use Blum (the make) hinges which are excellent quality and easily adjusted. The screwfix ones are probably worth a go. Just avoid homebase/B&Q stuff, which is shit.

The existing ones are blum, wanting to replace with wider opening and was hoping that could just pick these up and not even have to replace the mounting plates on the cabinet side.

I doubt the screwfix ones will fit straight on.
These might http://www.ironmongerydirect.co.uk/products/hinges/cabinet_hinges/438025/blum_clipon_hinge_170_degree/261722
But you have to buy the soft closers separate.

Ah, linked to the wrong ones on screwfix, meant to link to the blum ones

these actually look closer to the ikea ones

but at that price I might as well back order from ikea and pay the £15 delivery charge (hinges are 4 quid each)

You'll need to get the same cup size (the big circular drilling on the door) and the same degree of overlay. You get either full overlay (ie, the door sits in front of the upright the hinge is fixed to, half overlay, or no overlay hinges). It should be obvious from looking at how your doors close which type you have.

The Blum ones should in theory fit. Give them a try and if no good take them back.

As cup size etc. not listed anywhere in specs on any sites selling them I kind of assumed it was a standard thing.

They are pretty standard apart from ikea tbh! It's normally the bathroom stuff that have smaller holes.

Thought we'd cracked it using the new ikea hinges with our existing mounting plates, but turns out cup size is the same but the little metal pegs that fit into holes alongside are a different size and spacing - doh
