The Kindle cover with built-in light sounded a great idea but £50 ! Really !!

So what cheaper alternatives have the clan tried?
I already have a clip on reading (LED) light but it's very concentrated light and is hard to read with, my head torch is too bright, so what works for you ? (okay turning a light on works but keeps the wife awake).

Wrap some white tape over it to act as a diffuser, or speculate £3.99 on one from 7dayshop in the hope it's better.
