I'm a bit stuck. Wee man (nearly 6) needs a fancy dress costume for next week. He needs to be an historical figure. Obviously Hitler, Chairman Mao, Jessie Owens etc are all forbidden by the missus. Anyone got any helpful suggestions? I thought maybe Neil Armstrong but I bet all the boys will be dressed as him :(. Abe Lincoln maybe, but that might get expensive.

Ah I don't bloody know. Help me stw, you're my only hope

Some sort of flying helmet/goggles, leather jacket and stick each leg in two bits of drain pipe wrapped in tin foil. Tell him not to bend his knees.

Nigel Farage - suit. Pint glass with flat apple juice(no beer natch), candy cigarette, and if his teeth are good order, black a couple out and paint the rest yellow.

My mum always used to let her creative/cantankerous side out for this sort of thing, no matter how much of a pillock it made us look. As such I'm going to channel her and suggest dressing him a kilt, painting his face blue and putting him a cardboard box lorry cab and calling him Scott of the Artic.
