Where can you get cheap kids bikes nowadays? Even the usual Halfords cheapy brands are like £300 a bike!!
Im not interested in the Frog/Isla better resale value argument. Our kids ride up and down the street, and generally abuse the bikes until they grow out of them 12 months later.

So, anyone know of a reasonably decent kids bike for around £150 ?

Secondhand?

Carreras for collection only on eBay would be a good place to start.

2nd hand? That's what I've done. Not paid more than £150 each time. Islabikes until he grew out of them, and now a beaut of a NOS Kona 26" wheel bike.

I paid £30 second hand for a Decathlon 20" single speed ~120cm child. Bit battered, heavy, but works ok. Can't seem to give it away now.

Got a fairly rough Wild 20" to replace that for £70 but the bent mech hanger ended up costing nearly half that and I had to recable it.

Before that we had a tidy 14" and a virtually new 16" Isla. Former cost us £20 a a year of ownership the second made us £20 for a year of ownership.

If you are after a 20" wheel one, I've an excellent condition pink wild bike in that size which would be less than £150 even if it needed postage. Any use?

Yeah I thought that about the Frog/Isla thing, then we did an ownership cycle (as it were).

The Isla went for what we paid.

The Frog yet to be sold (coming year for def), but if we get half of it back it will have been worth it.

Or, just get a second hand Isla / Frog / expensive-brand-du-jour and be done with it.
