Woke up today feeling fine. Cooked breakfast before wanting to go out and enjoy the last warm day off the month. Half way through my food and was feeling a bit full.

Ten minutes later I was doubled over in pain that I've never experienced (have walked around for hours with a broken shoulder, have ripped the tip off my finger, have sliced my calf open on a chainring and various other mishaps).

GF called an ambulance and even the emergency doc showed up and pumped me full of drugs.... not sure whether I should be pleased that he said that he needed lots of drugs to sedate the pain.

Hospital doc says a 2-3mm kidney stone.

Two options, either I wait and piss it out or the go down my Japs eye with tweezers!

I guess months of 4-6 beers a day with maybe a couple of swigs from my water bottle on the ride to work has caught up with me... 😁

Drink water and stay hydrated, folks!

self administered..ermm ..” pain reducing tablet”

I had to slip something up my arse earlier today. Not something I've done in a while.... The nurse did ask if I was OK with self administering it.

Fortunately I've still got my dignity intact. (was surprisingly easy!)

I produce them regularly due to a condition. I’ve had 2 proper attacks, absolutely agonising they are but morphine is an amazing drug. Yup, last time the nurse also a friend offered to do the suppository or do it myself. I did it myself.

I just pass them, you’re not going near me with the wire.

Almost a bit of an anticlimax...

It's about 1.5mm plus some loose grains that I couldn't get out of the piss funnel.

What a relief!

They want me to shit in a box and smear my poo on some test cards. But difficult given I've not eaten for >36 hours and I'm currently nil by mouth.

Is that a marmite lid or a dustbin lid?
Perspective matters 😮

A piss bottle lid.

Stone is about 1.5-2mm.

^^^ is effing ridiculous!

Was told that if mine got to around twice the size then it would have to be physically removed via the shaft....!

Strangely, pissing out that small stone didn't hurt (may have been thanks to various drugs), but the intensity and speed at which the pain appeared was crazy....

Time to look at myself and change some habits.
