Got myself a pair of kettlebells and wondering if anyone knows of any good guides or videos for workouts. Got a pair of 20kg and a mahoosive 24kg concrete monstrosity.
That is pretty heavy.
Google Gillian Michaels, she has vids on YouTube that use them.
They're great.
I follow a girl called Ami on you tube, I find all the blokes too full on and annoying.
Don't suppose you have a link mugaboo?
Er, have you ever worked with kettlebells before?
Yeah isitafox, I'm a full on gym bunny weights room idiot but changing shifts at work means I need a home workout alternative
Normal swings, alternating single arm swings, swing snatches with the 24 and clean and jerk (called long cycle) with the pair of 20's. You might want something a bit lighter to warm up with before snatching the 24 up though (I have onr myself so speak from experience).
Then just usual shoulder press, behind head tricep press, bicep curls. All depends on what day it is for you but I find a proper session of snatches and cleans pretty much wipes you out.
EDIT: If you really want to test yourself try some of the proper girevoy sport events, 10 minutes to perform as many clean and jerks with 2 bells or snatches with one as you can though with the snatch you can't put it down once you've started and can only change hands once.
Just type kettlebell Ami into YouTube although it sounds like it might too cardio for you. She's more about exercise than muscles.
Myohmytv. All the stuff there to get you started.
