I am interested to know what low carb/keto dieters snack on? Cravings are significantly reduced now, however sometimes i just want to have a snack. My usual go to is cheddar and walnuts, or a handful of almonds and other nuts. Ive tried Keto bars before but they're not cheap. What low carb snack do you indulge on on between meals when you want to eat something?
Jerky.
Pure protein
Pecan Nuts
Chorizo
Cheese
Brie.
I also snack on peanut butter but do now realise that's not half as low in carbs as I'd have originally thought.
Tinned fish.
Cheese.
Chorizo.
Corned beef.
Chicken wings/drumsticks.
I had a pork scratchings habit
Cashew nuts. Carrot sticks. And celery, the organic stuff tastes nicer.
I am well aware how boring this makes me sound...!
I haven’t been keto for a while, but when I was I used to snack on Almonds, cheese and saucisson type sausage.
Do any of you keto guys do hard intervals or TrainerRoad style training? How do you find doing this when in the diet?
This is why I’m not fully keto. I tend to plan my carbs around my exercise. Combined with some MCT oil and low carbs I’ve lost about half a stone in 6 weeks; probably the majority of that being water retention.
Cashews are terrible if you're on keto. Jerky isn't the best either; you have to watch your protein intake carefully and store-bought is often surprisingly high in carbs.
I snack on cheese, walnuts, pecans, Pepperami (and other sausage type foodstuff), olives and pork scratchings. Not all at the same time, obviously.
I’m not on a full keto diet, just dropped the ‘bad’ carbs like beer, bread, spuds/crisps, pies, refined sugar. Less rice & pasta too. Combined with more exercise, lost just over a stone in 3 months.
