Would vastly appreciate any feedback as booking wedding anniversary meal tomorrow in the Derwent Water/ Keswick environs. Might go for the plunge with the TA recommendations of Morrells or the Pheasant but if anyone can recommend something else that would be great. We'll be coming from the M6/A66 so anywhere enroute would also be useful.

Cheers.

There's Luca's down near the pencil factory, or you could try the Borrowdale Gates at the other end of the lake, or maybe Armthwaite Hall. Morrells is the best food if it has to be within walking distance / town centre.

Mate, i grew up in Keswick, my folks still live there too, in town, go to the George Hotel, really really nice and the beer is spot on, out of town, the Borrowdale Hotel is also nice. The Thai place at the bottom end of Main St is also ment to be good. But honestly, try the George, its cock-on. How many years by the way?

If you use the pheasant the proper restaurant is far better than the new bistro which is very average and over priced food wise imo.
